Options.ini Command Conquer Generals
Command and Conquerer generals crash. Command & Conquer Generals / Zero Hour / LOTR Battle for. I've done the options.ini fix for Generals and zero Hour and. Make also sure to set the resolution in this file to the resolution of your screen. Wide screen resolutions like 1600x900 or 1920x1080 are possible. If you haven't done this yet: set this resolution also in the 'options.ini' file which is located at username Documents Command and Conquer Generals Zero Hour Data.
What is your monitors default resolution? Command & Conquer Generals / Zero Hour / LOTR Battle for Middle-Earth all have issues with higher res (widescreen) monitors.
Look in the My Docs folder and see if a folder 'Command and Conquer Generals Data' exists. If it does, open the options.ini file and change resolution to 1400 1050 (or smaller values eg, 1024 768)
If the folder does not exist, create a new folder called 'Command and Conquer Generals Data' in the My Docs folder. Now open notepad and copy the following into notepad:
AntiAliasing = 5
CampaignDifficulty = 0
GameSpyIPAddress = 0.0.0.0
Gamma = 50
IPAddress = 0.0.0.0
IdealStaticGameLOD = High
LanguageFilter = false
MusicVolume = 75
Resolution = 1400 1050

SFXVolume = 71
ScrollFactor = 50
SendDelay = no
StaticGameLOD = High
VoiceVolume = 82
Now save the file using the filename options.ini (change the .txt extension to .ini) - making sure to save the file to:
